Playing with Scale

I adore spaces with an element of whimsy.  Playing with scale is a fabulous way of achieving the whimsical effect.  Some of my favourite haunts incorporate oversize objects which have the effect of transporting me to another, more magical world.

Soho House Berlin – with beds and headboards bigger than most New Yorkers’ apartments (we won’t even mention the showers).

The Clift Hotel in San Francisco with its giant chair.

Here are some inspirational ways that oversize furniture can be incorporated into a domestic space (read: your place!)…
