A very different kind of hotel experience which allows you to actually interact and “stay” within the installation, which just so happens to be a hotel room.  Created by eight Japanese and Dutch designers.

Playing with Scale

I adore spaces with an element of whimsy.  Playing with scale is a fabulous way of achieving the whimsical effect.  Some of my favourite haunts incorporate oversize objects which have the effect of transporting me to another, more magical world.

Soho House Berlin – with beds and headboards bigger than most New Yorkers’ apartments (we won’t even mention the showers).

The Clift Hotel in San Francisco with its giant chair.
