Just Folk
The images below are from California shop, Just Folk. There are treasures at every turn. I would live there in a heartbeat…giant hands, mannequin lamps and all.

Dinder House by Studio Ilse.
Ilse Crawford never fails to impress. I find images of her work always catch my eye and resemble an exhale. Her work is always quiet, confident, and pleasantly unexpected.
I particularly like this home because it allows those living there now to do so comfortably but without leaving too much of an impression on the structure of the house. The house was there long before they were and will remain for long after, so its only right…
Those floors! Just lovely.

Anthropologie in the UK is exploding with amazing things at the moment. I’m not sure if all of these items are available through Anthropologie in the US. If not, I’m sorry, because this shiz is bananas.
floral chandelier made by South African collective, Magpie. made with reclaimed/found items. recycling has never looked so glamourous.
Fleeting Apparition jug by English ceramicist Adam Harvey. Reminds me of this Moooi “blow away vase” jug which was recently featured at an exhibition at the V&A in London.
A.P.C quilt. reminds me of the hawaiian quilts we wrote about a few months back.
quartz topped jewellery box. similar-ish to the the agate bookends we have for sale in The Colonies’ shop.
terrarium ceiling light. this is hilarious. i LOVE a sense of humour in design.
happy christmas shopping, Colonistas! xx

Liberty is one of the greats when it comes to London department stores (maybe the greatest?). Their interior furnishing, fabric and wallpaper departments are particularly good. Here are a few Liberty fabric prints that I’m loving…
Vonetta B Tana Lawn by John Squire
A Boy Dreams C Tana Lawn by Graham Coxon
Explosions in the Sky D Tana Lawn
all images from Liberty
…new in the shop this week:
1. Vintage pair of male and female blackamoor busts
2. Vintage pair of blue foo dogs (these go quickly, so get a move on)
I love this fabric. I especially love this fabric on these Ligne Roset Sala dining chairs. I’m trying to hunt down a stockist who still carries it. Can anyone help me?! Life and death, people, life and death.
